Individual psychotherapy sessions last from 45-53 minutes depending on payment method. Coping skills program sessions are 45 minutes long. Couples sessions last 55 minutes.

The answer depends completely on your wants and needs. For some, a few months or even a few sessions can help address pressing issues. For others, profound self-exploration and deep healing may take months to years. Many choose to see therapy as mental health hygiene, and may continue sessions throughout their life.

Brave Minds Psychotherapy primarily utilizes a psychodynamic approach. For us that means a depth-oriented approach exploring unconscious feelings and childhood experiences to understand current behaviors better. However, we believe therapy looks different for everyone, so we utilize this and other theories to offer a unique but evidence-based approach to treatment.

Our couples therapy utilizes Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), a style based on attachment styles. This work encourages slowing down and practicing communicating on a deeper level to promote healthy relationships and closeness.
